There's People All Around Us
Liturgical Use: Evangelism, Missions,
General
Text: Thomas Fischer
Tune: The Church's One Foundation ("Aurelia")
Suggested Usage: General, Missions, Evangelism
There’s people
all around us
Who don’t know Jesus’ love
They live in idle blindness
Of God’s great grace above.
If only someone told them—
If only someone shared—
They’d hear that Jesus loves them
And know that Jesus cares.
We know that
we’re forgiven,
We know we’re dearly loved,
We know God will direct us,
By faith we’ll not be moved.
But those who don’t know Jesus
Don’t know the hope we have.
They won’t know where to turn to
Unless we share His love.
Let’s heed our
Lord’s commandment,
“Go forth to all the world,”
And follow His directive:
Teach, baptize and forgive.
Tell them how Jesus loves them
Tell them how Jesus cares,
Tell them how faith in Jesus
Will wipe away their fears.
So help
us, Lord of Glory,
To share through all the earth,
How through Your resurrection
You call us to new birth.
Lord, as You rose in glory,
Lord, help us now to see
Our greatest, glorious calling:
To share Your victory.
